1934 Winning car of Bob Turner
"He took the rubber tires off and won the 1934 Soap Box Derby"
Bob Turner and his brother peeled the rubber off all four wheels to beat out 34 other competitors and win the 1934 Soap Box Derby.
Actual size: 8" long
1951 Winning car of Darwin Cooper.
Darwin's car was made of wood and very heavy when compared to a lot of the lightweight plastic bodies used today. It also had an unusual steering mechanism. A tiller bar was used to steer it. This die-cast replica from Nylint captures all of this 1951 winner.
Actual Size: 6-1/4" long
1998 Winning car of Jamie Marsh
Jamie won the 1998 race with a sit-up car which is unusual since most of the recent Soap Box Derby Winners have been lay-downs. The original car was made of fiberglass and was extremely aerodynamic. It was also a year of 8's: Jamie's winning car was 8 and the race was on the 8th day of August (month 8) in 1998.
Actual Size: 6-1/2" long.
